Healing Roots Design

  • Designed PTO policies, procedures, and tracking system

  • Advised on strategy and compliance to craft variable pay and specialized roles system

  • Developed a year end employee evaluation process with a focus on individual development

  • Feedback was that my consulting was more personalized to their organization and strategy than generic HR advice they received from their previous HR consulting firm

  • Completed an internship project with a partner through Western Carolina University’s HR Consulting Initiative

  • Performed a comprehensive review and rewrite of the employee handbook for a multi-state healthcare organization

  • Reorganized and reformatted the handbook to improve readability, language, navigation, consistency, and ease of future revision.

  • Key work completed:

    • Revised and consolidated policies into streamlined sections for clarity, brevity, and tone

    • Reviewed and revised policies for legal compliance and policy consistency with extensive work on leave, reimbursement, attendance, technology, workplace conduct policies

    • Added a navigable table of contents, hyperlinks, standardized headings, page numbers, footers, and version controls
